The Bio Dude has bred this unique and lesser-known gecko species for several years. Like all of our captive-bred animals, the parents are routinely tested for common infectious diseases to support the health of future offspring. We also take additional steps to confirm that each customer’s setup is appropriate and promotes the animal's long-term health before completing a sale.

Our breeding group lives in a large bioactive terrarium in the bioactive showroom at our southeast Houston store. There, they lay their eggs and attach them directly to cork pieces within the enclosure. The eggs incubate in place, and our team removes the babies for quarantine as they hatch. After a proper quarantine period, where our keepers confirm the geckos are eating well and shedding properly, they become available for purchase on our website and in-store.
